Erik Petersen was born in Lompoc, California in 1976 and currently lives in Prescott, Arizona. He began drawing and painting at a very young age. This inspired the life long passion for art that led him to work at a bronze sculpture foundry starting in 1996. For the next nine years, seven of which he specialized as a patina artist, Erik was able to learn the unique process of bronze making. During this time he fine-tuned his abilities and contemplated his own artistic direction.

In 2005 Erik opened his own business doing finishing work and patinas on all of his own work and for many prominent western artists. He is constantly inspired by wildlife, but on any given day can be easily inspired by something new. He is only beginning to understand his calling to art and is excited about what the future holds.
